The History of Whatzup
In February of 1997, the "nucleus" of Whatzup, Larry Hladek, Vic Paris, and our other brother, from another mother, Larry Brown, came together in a band called 21 Turns. After a few years of playing the local clubs, there were, as there always are, a few lineup changes. Losing the lead guitar player, keyboards and harmonica (not to mention thier voices!) all at once, the band seemed doomed to go on the basement tour. But as fate would have it, the musical gods smiled upon them.
Brian Matuska was the next edition to the band, bringing to it a much needed edge to the musical mix. After one more member change, the band is now complete with Lisa Billings. Her smooth voice and sexy demour' is icing on the cake.
The gods looked down and said: Whatzup!
